Privacy Policy – Storwipe Storage Cleaner

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to Storwipe Storage Cleaner, an Android utility designed to scan junk cache, residual app files, duplicate photos/videos, unused APK packages and large redundant files to free up device storage space. By downloading, installing and using Storwipe, granting storage permissions and executing any scan or cleanup task, you fully agree to all data processing rules stated herein.

Storwipe complies with Google Play User Data Policy, Google Data Safety standards, EU GDPR, California CCPA/CPRA and U.S. COPPA regulations. All file scanning and classification operations run entirely local on your device; we will never automatically upload your private photos, documents or confidential media to remote servers without your voluntary feedback submission.

2. Permission Statement & Necessity

Android scoped storage APIs cannot access hidden app cache folders, uninstall residual directories, external SD partitions and deep system storage paths. Without All Files Access, Storwipe cannot complete full-device deep scans to detect junk files, duplicate media and large unused files, which are core features of this app.

• Storwipe only reads file metadata: file name, storage path, format and file size to identify clutter for your manual review;
• The app never parses, previews or reads internal text, image or confidential content inside your private photos, encrypted documents and personal media;
• No file will be deleted automatically; all junk candidates need your manual selection before removal;
• All scanning logic runs offline on your device; no raw file content is transmitted to external servers during scanning;
• You can revoke All Files Access permission anytime in system App Settings, and all storage scan & cleanup functions will stop working after revocation.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Voluntarily Submitted Information

• Feedback text and device description you submit via in-app support form to report scan failures, crashes or functional defects;
• Optional email address you provide solely for our support team to reply to your technical tickets;
• Local custom scan filters and sorting preferences saved only on your device.

3.2 Anonymous Automatic Technical Data

• Device brand, Android OS version, Storwipe app version, total & remaining storage capacity;
• Anonymous Advertising ID (GAID), only used for non-personalized free in-app ads;
• De-identified crash logs and performance data to fix scanning bugs and improve stability, no private file content included;
• Unlinked anonymous usage statistics of scan and cleanup features, cannot trace back to individual users.

Data We Never Collect: Real name, phone number, bank information, ID documents, contact list, private chat records or location tracking data.

4. How We Use Collected Data

• Provide core full-storage cleaning and duplicate media identification functions;
• Optimize cross-device compatibility and fix scanning crash exceptions;
• Display non-targeted advertisements via Google AdMob to keep the app free for all users;
• Respond to your support feedback and troubleshoot permission/compatibility issues;
• Fulfill mandatory compliance requirements for Google Play distribution.

Storwipe will never sell, rent, trade or license your device metadata and file scan information to ad agencies, data brokers or any commercial third parties for profit.

5. Integrated Third-Party SDKs

• Google Firebase Crashlytics: Collect anonymous crash logs to enhance app stability;
• Google AdMob: Serve non-personalized contextual in-app advertisements;
• Google Play Billing: Process optional ad-free premium subscriptions; all payment data is securely stored by Google, and Storwipe never stores any payment details on our backend servers.

We may release aggregated anonymous device statistical data only when receiving valid court orders or official government regulatory demands, or when disclosure is necessary to protect platform security and user data safety.

6. Data Storage & Retention Rules

• Temporary scan cache: Local file indexes and preview records are automatically erased once you fully close Storwipe;
• Anonymous crash & usage logs: Stored on encrypted cloud servers for maximum 12 months, then permanently auto-deleted;
• User feedback records: Saved for 90 calendar days only for support follow-up, fully purged after expiration;
• Custom scan preferences: Saved locally on your device, deleted when you clear app storage or uninstall Storwipe.

Storwipe has no default cloud sync or silent background upload of local user files. Scanned file metadata will not be sent to remote servers unless you voluntarily submit feedback through the built-in support form.

7. Your Controllable Privacy Rights

• Turn off anonymous crash reporting and ad ID tracking via Android system privacy settings;
• Clear all local scan cache and custom filter data through system application management;
• Revoke MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE storage permission at any time to disable all cleaning features.

8. CCPA Rights for California Residents

If you live in California, USA, you have supplementary privacy rights under CCPA/CPRA. You may submit a written request to obtain full disclosure of data categories collected about your device ID in the past 12 months, and request permanent deletion of all anonymous statistical data linked to your GAID. Storwipe never sells personal user information, so there is no separate opt-out for data sales. Exercising CCPA rights will not block your access to all core free cleaning functions.

9. GDPR Protections for EEA, UK & Swiss Users

Users located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland enjoy full data subject rights under GDPR. You have the right to object to data processing based on our legitimate business interest, and you may file a formal complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe Storwipe violates GDPR standards. All cross-border data transfers outside Europe adopt EU Standard Contractual Clauses to maintain equivalent data protection compliance.

10. COPPA Children’s Privacy Policy

Storwipe Storage Cleaner is designed for users aged 13 and above. We will not intentionally collect personal identifiable information from children under 13 without verifiable written parental consent required by U.S. COPPA rules. If you are a parent or legal guardian and find your minor child has used Storwipe without your approval, contact our privacy email below, and we will delete all child-related feedback and usage data within 14 business days after identity verification.

11. Policy Updates

We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy regularly to match updated Google Play policies, global data protection laws and app functional adjustments. Major revisions involving storage access rules, permission usage or third-party data sharing will be notified via in-app pop-up alerts at least 14 days before taking effect. Minor wording corrections will only update the top date label without separate notifications. Your continued use of Storwipe after the effective date of revised terms constitutes full acceptance of all updated privacy clauses.
